BELGIUM: Belgian Beer Tour
An 8-day guided beer lovers tour visiting the ancestral home of Trappist, one of the world's finest brewers. The tour visits the six Trappist monastery-breweries in Belgium, offers tastings of the brews (including the celebrated Westvleteren beer!), explores Brussels and Bruges, and offers lots of special eating opportunities like beer and cheese tastings, barbecues with local with beers, chocolate factory visit, Trappist beer and picnic ...
Because of the very singular way the Trappist beers are brewed and the strict rules that govern its production, the trip does not absolutely guarantee visits within the abbeys and monasteries themselves – it does do it's upmost to gain access to at least some of them, and also ensures tasting the abbey-made beers at local cafés, while visiting the towns they're made in and also enjoying their markets, castles, historic buildings and local delicacies.
