These will be tours that that last a few hours or even full days. Tours will generally be lead by experienced trained tour guides – tourist guides who will interpret the culture, architecture and history of an area, town or city, frequently in the tourists own language. Such guides will normally hold a location-specific qualification issued and/or recognized by an appropriate local, regional or country authority.
We also list specialised day tours that focus on a particular theme, be it film and TV locations, ghost and supernatural activity, or whisky tasting tours to various distilleries. Tours may use a range of transport, from simple walking tours to standard car, coach or mini-bus trips – as well as less common transport options such as bike, boat or even Segway.
