Sewing for Pleasure: a sewing show, with a strong emphasis on dressmaking, held at the NEC in Birmingham. Also featuring knitting and patchwork. The event showcases fabrics, yarns, patterns and threads, as well as offers hands-on workshops and demos.

Sewing & Stitchery Expo, Washington: billed as 'the largest consumer sewing show in America' with 'something for every sewing enthusiast'. With daily seminars, hands-on workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations.

American Sewing Expo, Michigan: another huge US show, offering classes, make-and-takes, fashion shows, lectures, demonstrations, contests, give-a-ways, sew party cafe and lots of shopping! There are also details of 'Sewcial' which is a 3-day sewing retreat.

London Sewing Machine Museum: with over 600 sewing machines on display, this fascinating collection has been gathered over the last 50 years by the MD of the Wimbledon Sewing Machine Company and includes many rare machines.
