I have just looked at the Mistaya website and all sorts of wonderful memories came flooding back. Seven of us from the Eagle Ski Club were pampered, excited and guided by four charming Canadians in over 100 square miles of isolated paradise where there was no machinery and no other people.

Situated on top of a cliff that can only be surmounted on foot or by helcopter, was this magnificent wilderness where Ron ensured that we skied a different slope in the optimum condition every time we went out. The lodge provided a haven of comfort where we enjoyed gourmet cooking thanks to Lara and Helen, a perfect balance to sustain seven hours demanding and delightful ski touring each day. It was an ultimate experience and it is only possible to give a flavour on paper.
