Choosing your literary holiday
balconyA section listing literary appreciation tours, holidays and travel focused on the great works of literature, well known writing and books, and notable and popular authors, playwrights and poets (if you're looking for writing courses please see our dedicated section here»).

Literary tours will visit landmarks and locations of importance to famous authors, poets and writers – past and present. Tours will usually be guided and lead by someone with literary knowledge. They may involve talks, readings and lectures. Destinations may include places of birth; locations where works were written; or the cities, towns and landscapes that inspired or featured in works of literature, poetry or popular fiction.

The section also deals with literary retreats, workshops and courses that study works of literature or poetry, either in related locations or from a study or retreat centre.
