Crow Tree Cottage is in the village
of Low Bentham, which is 4 miles from Ingleton, the gateway to the Yorkshire
Dales. It is an excellent base from which to
explore the Yorkshire Dales, the Forest of Bowland, the North Pennines
and North Yorkshire. The pretty Victorian coastal town of Arnside is only
30 minutes away.
The cottage looks out on an orchard
style garden and has panoramic views across hills open countryside, and
the beautiful Wenning River valley.
 
The area
The area provides a rich variety of
outdoor activities: touring, walking, cycling, horse riding, rock climbing,
pot holing, fishing, boating, golf and much more. There are castles, stately
homes, gardens, museums, art galleries, theatres, cinemas and indoor sports
facilities.
The immediate Yorkshire Dales countryside
is famous for its limestone scenery and the 'Three Peaks' of Ingleborough,
Pen-y-ghent and Whernside. You will find caves and waterfalls at Ingleton
and Clapham. The famous Settle to Carlisle
Railway is not far away, crossing the Ribblehead Viaduct.
Accommodation: sleeps: 2 [+ cot]
This self-catering holiday cottage is ideal
for two people, but we can also provide a cot and a highchair if required.
The open plan kitchen/dining area and living
room is on the ground floor. Unusually, a spiral staircase leads to a
delightful bedroom, which has a double bed and en-suite bathroom and toilet.
Velux and gable-end windows make the bedroom light and airy.
The accommodation is comfortable and cosy
with all the amenities you would expect: a well-stocked kitchen with a
gas cooker, fridge and microwave; the lounge area has a colour TV, video
recorder/player and programmable electric wall-mounted convector heater.
For the exclusive use of our visitors, there
is an enclosed, lawned garden with garden furniture. Car parking is private
and off-street.
