SWITZERLAND: Alpine & Telemark skiing
A holiday ski course with coaching for all levels, in the lesser known resort of Lenzerheide, a resort now linked with Arosa for an even larger area of quality downhill. Lenzerheide offers an excellent range of skiing: sheltered intro slopes; miles of linked 'blues' and 'reds'; plenty of 'steeps and deeps'. The company caters for both alpine skiers and those on Telemark equipment.
This is not a dedicated singles skiing holiday, but the way the trips are run makes it ideal for singles, who will slot into the group skiing course with ease; these courses always attract a high percentage of solo skiers. There is a choice of accommodation, from hostels to high mountain hotels and single rooms are often available, or room shares can be arranged!

EUROPE: ski hotels with single rooms/no supplements
Just looking for a single room, or better still a double with no single supplement? Inghams have a list of suitable hotels right across Europe and into Lapland.
This covers some excellent resorts such as Obergurgl, Kitzbühel, Mayrhofen (and others) in Austria; Chamonix and Méribel in France; a choice of eight resorts in Italy; Klosters and St. Moritz in Switzerland (to name just two of them); as well as four ski and boarding locations in Lapland. But get in early as supply is limited and will usually fill up quickly!
Snowboard and ski options for people traveling alone
Boarding or ski trips make an excellent choice for skiers on their own – boarders and skiers are social types and the sports make for an instant mutual interest. The travel-quest singles ski holidays section lists operators who specialise in snowboard and skiing holidays, vacations weekends and courses for single people; either as a dedicated singles holiday or where solo skiers and boarders are made welcome by providing room shares to remove the single supplement or where no singe supplement is charged. Also where single people are catered for by the provision of welcome parties, group eating arrangements, and where ski hosting or guiding is offered so that a single person is not left to ski alone. The section also covers singles snowshoeing, nordic and cross-country skiing and other winter sports holidays of all types. Accommodation is normally only listed in our Blue Directory section, but for 'singles skiing holidays' we will accept entries form hotels, hostels and shared chalets that offer single rooms to solo skiers, or who offer them standard rooms with no single supplement.
