NEWS: AUGUST 2008 – single parent holidays updated and expanded
Our single parent holidays section has now been thoroughly updated and expanded. After a great deal of research, both on and off the web, we're confident that we now have the most comprehensive listing and widest choice of holidays and holiday ideas for solo parents currently out there. The listing now fills several pages and we don't just list the obvious big names, but also smaller businesses that provide holiday options for single parent families that are not always easy to find from a search engine search.
NEWS: APRIL 2008 – new dialysis holidays section
A new sub-section has now been added listing holidays for dialysis patients and people with kidney transplants. This lists travel companies, centres and units offering holiday packages and also units and clinics offering holiday dialysis to people on independent breaks.
NEWS: OCTOBER 2007 – spa breaks expanded
We've just completed an expansion of our spa breaks sections, these pages were becoming very full and in order to make it easier for visitors to find their way around we've now sub-divided the entries according to spa type. An article describing the various types and offering advice on selection is coming shortly!
This means that dedicated destination spas are the first entry as they are the most common break looked for. After this we've listed spa hotels, which also includes other accommodation and businesses where a spa is included but is not the primary business. Resort spas come next, being defined as venues that offer spas and spa treatments as well as a variety of other activities and facilities. We also now list spas at mineral springs separately.
A fairly new category is the medical and health spa category which also includes medspas and health farms, this is a rapidly growing area and compliments our existing medical treatment category. A whole range of medical treatments are included, but to qualify the venue must be offering residential breaks as well as the medical treatments and spa.
Finally come a few special categories, spa weekend breaks and spas for stag or hen weekends, both of which speak for themselves, and the luxury spa collection which is our hand picked selection of some of the very best and most unusual spas in the world.
