| Thatching is a skilled craft that requires up to five years apprenticeship, so if you want to re-thatch your house you'd be better off getting in the professionals than trying to do it yourself. However, if you just want a 'taster' of this ancient skill, to learn what's involved, perhaps to try a garden project of your own, to learn to make simple thatch repairs, or to see if you want to go on and invest the time in learning to become a qualified thatcher, then a short thatching course or workshop is for you. |
