SOUTH AFRICA: Battlefields of KwaZulu-Natal
A Boer War battlefield tour in South Africa including visit to to Spion Kop battlefield site with expert guides who'll recount the struggles between Zulu warriors, Boer guerillas and British redcoats. The tour includes a historical talk on the war by Paul Kruger, with a visit to his farmstead and museum.
In contrast, the tour will journey through the countryside of the Garden Province to the Drakensberg Mts near Durban. It will visit the cultural village and living museum of Shakaland ('the greatest Zulu experience in Africa'), and will embark on game drives to seek out the 'Big Five'.
