ENGLAND: Falconry experience in Bedfordshire
A wonderful experience, this is a day activity for budding falconers, getting to meet some of the smallest and the biggest birds of prey. Guests first meet the birds with one of the centre's resident falconers, then go on to handling and flying them. Starting with some of the smallest raptors (such as kestrels, barn owls, woodford owls, mottled owls, etc.), then moving on to the larger birds (such as American bald eagles, white tailed sea eagles, African fish eagles, etc.). The experience is rounded off by meeting the world's largest bird of prey, an Andean Condor (known as Tiny!).
