Our Special Hotel Collections cover England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and come under a variety of headings, depending on what you're looking for – so far we've got:

 

COUNTRY HOUSE HOTELS»

Hotels with character created in fine houses in the countryside, offering comfortable rural retreats. This will generaly be hotels in upmarket, quality properties, often with a notable history and a charm defined over centuries; they may be in old manor houses, stately homes, castles, fine country inns, or just large rural properties.

 

We look for country house hotels located in beautiful rural settings, often with their own lovely gardens and tended grounds. We look for friendly service, fine quality furnishings and fittings, log fires, great homemade food using local produce, fine wines and relaxing lounges.

 

We look for decor in a country house-style; be that a traditional style (perhaps using reproduction and antique furniture and fittings, four poster beds, roll-top baths, heritage fabrics and wallpaper, and traditional colours); as well as hotels using a more contemporary country style (perhaps traditional furniture covered with modern fabric, or rustic furnishings and exposed brick/stonework, soft hues inspired by nature, crisp fresh whites and blues, or fabrics and wallpapers using beautiful, countryside inspired, florals or leaf designs).

 

CONTEMPORARY, MODERN & DESIGN HOTELS»

A hand-picked selection of modern design hotels with contemporary styling and thoroughly up-to-date facilities, furnishings and fittings. This includes newer hotels with modern architecture and current on-trend decor; as well as older properties re-styled using fresh, up-to-date looks, furnishings and fittings.

 

We look for exceptional hotels, elegant and sophisticated modern properties with fresh clean furnishings and uncluttered decor, without frills and flounces. We look for architect designed buildings, strong geometric shapes, slick service, bright light rooms, big windows, fantastic views, neutral colour schemes with shots of strong colour; technical features like centrally controlled curtains and lighting, stylish modern bathrooms, and contemporary art.

 

THEMED HOTELS»

Our themed hotels cover the stylishly unique, the quaintly quirky, the positively unusual and even the wildly wacky! They may be hotels with a theme that runs throughout the entire place, or hotels with just some themed rooms of note.

 

The range is tremendous and covers interests as diverse as The Beatles, chocolate, 1950's automobiles and love. In some hotels the theme is quite light, like the Alice in Wonderland theme in The Mad Hatter Hotel, London; while in others it's quite the opposite, take a look at the Crazy Bear for example, with its stunning over-the-top opulence.
