ENGLAND: Metal detecting holidays
Metal detecting club offering members holidays in Colchester, Essex. Holidays and tours for detectorists, offering dozens of sites spread across over 500 fields available each spring and autumn between crops. There is potential for finds dating as far back as the Stone Age on these sites.
Accommodation can be self-catering, full or half-board as guests wish, with no single supplements charged for single occupency. Club members come from around the world all, or most, of whom have visited and hunted on this land around Colchester.

UK: Hands-on archaeological courses in Kent
The Kent Archaeological Field School run a number of affordable hands-on courses for anyone with an interest in archaeology and a desire to participate in excavating and recording archaeological data. This includes training weeks for novice diggers, teaching such subjects as: site survey methods, field walking and test pitting, excavation techniques, archaeological recording and pottery identification.
This section deals with archaeological fieldwork opportunities as holiday volunteering; participating in archaeological digs, excavations and archaeological projects in the UK, Europe and Worldwide. This covers all types and methods of archaeological investigation including: battlefield and aerial archaeology; marine archaeology and wreck diving; and metal detecting.
